Crafting Your Ideal 10-Day Moroccan Holiday Tour Itinerary Starting from Tangier

After strolling in the ruins, we drive 30 km to visit one of the imperial cities, Meknes, the Ismaili capital. We visited Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani basin, the royal stables, the granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Then we head to Fes. Overnight stay in a riad.

We pick you up from your accommodation in Fes after breakfast to explore the city of Fes. The city is considered one of the imperial cities, besides being the cultural and religious center of Morocco. We start the day by visiting the Royal Palace gate. Then the well-preserved medieval Medina is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The Blue Gate, or Bab Boujloud, is the entrance of the old Medina. You will enter the Medina with a local guide. To visit the Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine fountain, the tanneries, and finally the Quaraouin mosque and university—the oldest university in the world. After breakfast, we dedicate the day to exploring the region of Merzouga. The area has so many incredible sites, from sand dunes, wild lakes, mines, and fossil areas to fabulous oases. Then we pay the nomads a visit in their handmade, woven tent. And learn how they live while drinking Berber tea. Our next destination is Khamlia village, where you can enjoy the Gnaoua music and dancing performances. Its inhabitants are from sub-Saharan countries like Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Free time for lunch in a restaurant. After that, we take a stroll in the palm tree grove. Then drive a few kilometers to see the wild lake of Merzouga, also called the Lake of Flamingos. Furthermore, the Kasbah has appeared in many movies, including Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, etc. And TV series, including Game of Thrones. After that, we visit the Telouet Kasbah. Then we continue to Marrakesh by going through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass and the High Atlas Mountains. Stops will be made for lunch and to take pictures at interesting spots.
