Arriving in Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert, you'll be greeted by the towering dunes and boundless expanse of golden sands.

Spend a magical night under the starry desert sky at a traditional desert camp, where you'll have the opportunity to ride camels and witness the breathtaking spectacle of Saharan sunsets and sunrises, casting a mesmerizing glow over the endless desert horizon.

Venture deeper into the heart of the desert aboard a rugged 4x4 vehicle as you explore the rugged terrain and discover hidden treasures in the fossil town of Erfoud and the vibrant traditional market of Rissani.

Itinirary (3 Days)


The 3-day Sahara desert tour begins with a pick-up in the early morning from the airport or your Fes lodging. Then we take a southerly route through Imouzzer to Ifrane, which is renowned for its subzero temperatures, snowfall, and chalet-style homes. Ifrane is often referred to as the Switzerland of Morocco. The Barbary Macaques dwell in the cedar forest, which is where we next go. While exploring the forest, feel free to give them food. We will continue on to Midelt later on, when lunch will be provided. Then, after traveling along the Ziz River and via the Tizi-n-Tilghmt Pass, we make our way to the Sahara Desert. In the afternoon, we reach the Sahara desert of Merzouga. You will switch to camels and cross the sandy desert. A stop will be made for you to enjoy the magical sunset on top of a high dune. Then continue to the desert luxury camp, where you can enjoy the Berber drum music while dancing around the campfire under the vast open sky of stars. Dinner and overnight in the camp.

Waking up early in the morning is a must-do in order to contemplate the beautiful sunrise in the middle of the desert. Free time for breakfast. Then you return on camels to Merzouga, where the driver awaits. We dedicate the day to exploring the region of Merzouga. The area has so many incredible sites, from sand dunes, wild lakes, mines, and fossil areas to fabulous oases. Which are the ideal places for so many outdoor activities? Firstly, we start our journey in Merzouga by driving off-road to visit an ancient eyeliner mine. Then we pay the nomads a visit in their handmade, woven tent. Learn how they live while drinking Berber tea. Our next destination is Khamlia village, where you will enjoy the Gnaoua music and dancing performances. Its inhabitants are from sub-Saharan countries like Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Free time for lunch in a restaurant. After that, we take a stroll in the palm tree grove. Then drive a few kilometers to see the wild lake of Merzouga, also called Flamingos Lake. Dinner and overnight In a hotel.

Wake up early in the in the morning to contemplate the beautiful sunrise in the middle of the desert. Free time for breakfast, then you return on camels to Merzouga, where the driver awaits. Then we leave the desert to visit Rissani town, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani is still a major trading center in the region, with a large souk lively on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. After a stroll in Rissani Souk, we continue to Erfoud, where we visit one of the workshops for fossilized marble. After that, we drive along the Ziz River, and we stop for a panoramic view of the Ziz Valley. Then we drive through the Cedar Forest and Ifrane to reach Fes. Finally, we drop you off at the airport or your accommodation. End of the tour.
